The 16th Cape Temporal Bone Course is the oldest annual temporal bone course in South Africa. It will again take place from 31 March 2016 to 2 April 2016. Under the experienced leadership of Professor James Loock, Head of the Department of ENT, University of Stellenbosch, participants will have the opportunity to learn from international and local experts on the topic of ear surgery. As with previous courses there will be catered for experienced as well as non-experienced ear surgeons. Professor James Loock has built up international recognition in the field of temporal bone surgery, not only as a surgeon but also as a teacher. The course consists of lectures, case discussions, round table discussions and excellent temporal bone drilling opportunities where participants will be guided through different steps and aspects of temporal bone surgery. It has been my privilidge to be part of the visiting faculty of the course for the last few years.
